14 reasons why the CSV did not vote in favor of the Budget 2020

CSV voted against Budget 2020 because:

  • Nothing has been done in social housing construction;
  • Nothing has happened due to the heavy traffic in our localities;
  • There will be no new Scouts chalet;
  • The Maison Relais should not consist of containers, but a definitive project for expansion should have been in place long ago;
  • Soft mobility and the networking of our villages with bicycle paths play no role;
  • There has been no thought of investing in buildings to have housing “in reserve” when something happens;
  • There has been no thought given to a CIPA (Centre intégré pour personnes agées) in our municipality;
  • Our fleet of vehicles has not been consistently converted to electric mobility;
  • Green spaces are still only properly attended to during the summer;
  • There is no political will to make associations responsible and to get the horrendous operating costs of the new sports hall under control;
  • So far, nothing has been done for our associations or private individuals in terms of support or subsidies, even though the municipal finances allow it;
  • The Climate Pact and sustainability play no major role;
  • A shelter at the bus stop in Uespelt is still not planned;
  • The costs for the celebrations of the “700th death anniversary of Péiter vun Uespelt” are not transparent but are hidden in various budget items.
