There would have been enough time to organize and distribute the masks as soon as possible on April 20, with the help of staff (municipality, Maison Relais, …) and volunteers (associations, CGDIS, municipal council, municipal commissions, …), as many other municipalities have done.
The CSV also offered its support to the city council already on March 29 to work together during the crisis and to find solutions for the safety and health of our residents. Unfortunately, our extended hand was not accepted here…
It is disappointing and sad at the same time that on April 20, only a flyer from the municipality can be found in the mailbox, stating that the masks would be delivered in the next few days. Instead of wasting time preparing, printing and distributing this flyer throughout the village, it would have been better to use this time already to prepare the distribution of the masks.
We, as CSV, remind you once again that we are willing to help the current majority, because in this situation it is not about party affiliation and political convictions, but about the well-being and safety of our residents. It would be nice if the city council could overcome its reluctances and accept this help in the future.
