Light pollution, or the negative effects of lighting on our environment, continues to increase. A study commissioned by the government in 2016 clearly shows that we are not spared here either. From this study, a “Leitfaden für gutes Licht im Aussenraum” was published in June 2018, which was presented to the municipalities. On 93 pages, practical examples are shown to limit or switch off unnecessary light.
The municipality of Clervaux was the first municipality in the country to react and has set itself a program to actively counter this type of environmental damage.
On 23.10.2019, we from the CSV Frisange party pointed out the current majority to this issue in the municipal council and struck a chord with the Environmental Officer to deal with this issue in a future environmental commission meeting.
