On May 18, 2022, the municipal council received the project of the construction area “In der décker Oicht” in Aspelt for voting. Unfortunately, this project does not include a single unit that will be realized according to the criteria of affordable housing.
24 houses are foreseen by the developer, exactly so many that Article 29 of the Law on Municipal Spatial Planning does not apply. In fact, this only requires that 10% of the area be set aside for affordable housing when 25 units or more are built. The Board of Aldermen did not object to this, and so the project was passed with the votes of the Är Equipe team, DP and also, surprisingly, LSAP. The CSV voted against it.
