Reaction of the CSV Frisange section
Dear mayor,
you gentlemen from the council,
ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues of the municipal council,
On behalf of the CSV, we would like to congratulate you first and foremost. Congratulations that, after a long six years in opposition, you have found your way back to the helm of the municipality. We at CSV are understandably not happy about that. We would have liked to continue, not because we would have pursued a fundamentally different policy than you are now. There are no party-political differences in local politics, and certainly not in such a small municipality as Fréiseng. We, like you, had and have the ambition to put ourselves at the service of our fellow citizens.
But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t differences between you and us. We would have built a new Maison Relais or expanded the current one. We, like you, would have invested in a wastewater treatment plant. We, like you, would also have expanded our recycling park at Helleng. And a CSV would also have strongly promoted in a coalition to once again take up the issue of waste costs.
We celebrated a premiere in the municipality with sustainable politics and an environmental commission. And yet we take it off that you have also discovered a sustainable politics now. And if you should forget one or the other point in the next years, we are there for you to your promises from before the elections and of course also your coalition program to remind. Not
Only on the subject of sustainable politics, but especially there. Because between 2005 and 2011 you had a little trouble there.
You can therefore count on our support for all the ideas where projects are in the next six years. We will help where we can, propose where we think things should be done differently. But also criticize where we think that another way leads to riches. But, and this is extremely important to us, and therefore we want to guarantee it today and now, we always do that
in the respect of the politician who is also and above all a human being. We will argue with you hard in this place, and also otherwise, sometimes even fight with you. But we promise to always play the ball and not the man (or woman). We remain a fair opposition.
Also with those topics we don’t agree with you at all. Well there! Also on the issue of the new municipality. And naturally the idea for the castle. There can be no music school with us, there is no library. And we certainly don’t want a pop-up store. What do we sell there? Tapestries that were once laid in Preisch? Or another cream. But the castle is not a souk. Or do you want to become a souk-lord now, Här Buergermeeschter, and no longer remain a castle lord?
Of course, we would have opposed the “concrete rush” as well. Our villages have been floundered enough. There must be an end to all the building. Starting to seal off again is not an option. We don’t build with that. You can only count on us for social housing. There we build with, because so many of them are missing in the country that they almost run out of drunks. And we are also on board for a crèche, or even better, on the excavator. But this excavator works in Fréiseng, where our families bring their children to Maison Relais and school. And nowhere else!
And then, you can imagine, we’re watching! With the PAG. Very closely. At least as closely as you did in recent years. But we watch without riding personal attacks. That is why, and we allow ourselves to speak here also in the name of the LSAP, several data must be put on the table. In this sense, we will in the next session of the municipal council, our land and property ownership open lay. And we expect you, Här Buergermeeschter, to take this to heart as well. We never had anything to hide.
It is not at the time to deal with your coalition program. We will wait for your first accents in the budget at the end of this year. And then it really begins; support where it is deserved, help where it is needed, and argumentation where it can be done differently.
Här Buergermeeschter, we are looking forward to the next six years in a new function. And wish you a lucky hand, a lot of nerves and good stamina. And our colleagues in the municipal council, we say a big thank you, that they are always committed to the general public and not for particular interests.
